New Low Cost Cable Extension Transducer

Celesco Transducers New SP1 String Pot is available from B+L Industrial Measurements GmbH. The SPI is compact, economical and a durable device that is extremely easy-to-install and has four measurement ranges; 4.75, 12.5, 25, and 50 inches. The CPI is also resistant to "free release" of the cable without damage, a significant benefit critical to many applications.
Designed for restricted space installations, the SP1 includes a handy mounting bracket that allows the cable exit to be selected from 4, 90-degree offset positions, making it ideal for light industrial and many OEM applications. Users will benefit from the fact that this device has been designed for misalignment situations wherein the cable may be pulled out and cycled at up to 45 degree angles without compromising life.
Distinctive features of the SP1 include a polycarbonate enclosure, an operating temperature range of -40° to +200°F, a vibration specification of up to 10G's to 2000 Hz maximum, and a voltage divider output signal. Electrical specifications include an input resistance of 10K ohm (±10%), a power rating of 2.0 watts at 70° F and a maximum recommended input voltage of 30V (AC or DC).

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

New IP67 Sealed Slimline Linear Transducer

Variohm EuroSensor has introduced a new slim line linear transducer. This sensor has a diameter of 9.5mm, a lightweight housing, sealed to IP67 and is available in stroke lengths from 12.5mm to 150mm. The ELP continues to use their proven track and wiper technology, which provides extended life expectancy, which is also able to withstand temperatures up to 175 C.

Over the past 12-18 months they have frequently been asked for slim line linear transducers, which are able to withstand the harshest of environments. During this time their engineers have had many discussions with various companies and have listened to their concerns regarding their current designs.

The ELP is mounted using rod end bearings, which enables it to be used in a number of applications. Variohm are also able to offer custom designed sensors to meet your exact requirements. New SE1 String-Encoder Transducer
Is Compact in Size for High Accuracy Applications

Celesco's NEW SE1, linear cable-extension transducer, available from B+L Industrial Measurements GmbH, is the perfect solution for linear measurements in OEM and testing applications where an encoder based signal is preferred. Available in either 25 or 50 inch ranges, the SE1 comes standard with a 12 inch electrical cable with Molex style connector. The SE1 type string-encoder is ideal for applications such as OEM machinery, medical equipment, and product testing. The unit is also recommended for aerospace, automotive and material testing.

Well suited for restricted space applications, this compact package design features a handy mounting bracket, enabling the user to easily select the direction of the measuring cable exit. The device has been designed for cable misalignment, ensuring long cable life even if installation is not perfect. The "free-release" tolerant cable design allows the cable to be freely released inhibiting damage to the transducer during quick retractions. This durable transducer is ideal in challenging working environments due to the Polycarbonate enclosure that is capable of withstanding chemical media and moderate physical impacts.

The SE1's miniature incremental encoder is a mere 0.75 inches in diameter and only 0.5 inches thick. The encoder's 2 channel quadrature TTL square-wave output signal and 56 pulse per inch resolution provide an extremely reliable performance.

This new model broadens the "S" Series family of reliable, versatile, and cost-effective "stringpot" devices, which includes the compact analog SP1 String-Pot Transducer, as well as the water resistant SP2 unit.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cost Effective Glass Coated Thermistors

The newest generation of glass encapsulated Thermistors from YSI Temperature Inc put together sensitivity and accuracy with exceptionally good long term stability. The 55000 series uses a special glass to hermetically seal the product against all environmental influences and makes the sensor ideal for most industrial application from -80°C to +200°C. The glass coating offers superior sealing compared to the standard epoxy coating, which makes them especially suited for application where moisture is found.

A fully automated production process guarantees all parameters at the manufacturing and calibration stage. Because of this process the 55000 series offers an exceptional cost effective hermetically sealed Temperature Sensor. The Thermistors are available as pure components or integrated into temperature probes (Configure-to-order), which gives the customer a wide selection of custom specific option.

With Interchangeability of +/-0.2 or +/-0.1 ºC over 0 - 70ºC this Thermistor is ideal for medical applications where recalibration is not always desirable. With resistance values from 2252Ohms to 30kOhm at 25°C and very good long term stability <0,01°C at 25°C for 10 months, the 55000 series is the ideal long term medical Thermistor.

With the technical characteristics listed above the 55000 series is a direct competitor to many other alternative temperature technologies. Because of the higher resistance values the 55000 series gives a better sensitivity over the 25-50ºC which is ideal for medical applications.
